Mike's Top 5 Favorite Superheroes

5. Wolverine

My love for the Wolverine, like most, came from the movies.  Seeing a character so ferocious, stubborn, and yet lovable made me fall for the character. His adamantium bones give him an indestructible nature yet the origin of them provides a depth and sadness to the character.  Wolverine is one of the deadliest character in the Marvel Universe, and my number five favorite superhero of all time.

4. The Flash

The Flash is the fastest man in the DC Universe.  He's also one of the most powerful.  With the ability to move so fast that he can go back in time and create alternate realities, the Flash is one of the Justice League's key members. I cannot wait to see what the DCEU can do with this impeccable characters, and he is truly one of my favorites.

3. Doctor Manhattan

Doctor Manhattan was by far my favorite character in the Watchmen novel.  Formerly Dr. Jonathan Osterman, he was given immense powers when he got caught in a laboratory accident. These powers were so extensive and overpowering then the rest of the Watchmen heroes, that I could not help but love and respect his views on humanity.

2. Black Bolt

Black Bolt may seem like an odd fit on this list, but despite being a B-list Marvel heroes, his powers speak for themselves.  Black Bolt is so powerful that he was kept in a soundproof case until he was old enough to control his voice and he eventually went toe to toe with the Mad Titan Thanos.  Black Bolt is by far the coolest member of The Inhumans, and my second favorite superhero of all time.

1. Superman

The most iconic superhero of all time, Superman, is also my favorite.  A character so diverse as to, in one sense, represent a dying planets last hope at redemption, and in another, the American way, Superman can mean something different to almost everyone.  Not to mention he shoots lasers out of his eyes.
